The revamped Windows Store in Windows 10 is easy to navigate and we have covered the basics on how to install and uninstall apps, as well how to manage and protect your Windows Store account. While these articles cover the basics of security and installing, we go into further detail below on how to view all the apps you own across your devices and how to update them manually. We also look at how to review, share and report apps and redeem voucher codes.
No matter which device you download an app on, computer, tablet, or Windows Phone; Windows 10 will run seamlessly across your various devices and all the downloaded apps will show up in one place.
To find the list of apps, open the Windows Store (which can be found in the Start Menu or under ‘S’ under your All Apps section) > click your account > click My Library.
Tip: If you want to pin the Windows Store to the Start menu for easy access, right-click the Windows Store app and click Pin to Start.
Here you will find a list of Your Apps that have been downloaded across all your devices regardless of whether it is installed on the current device you are using.
The list of apps has two sections, apps that work on your current device and ones that do not work.
Unlike Windows 8/8.1, in Windows 10 you cannot synchronize installed apps across devices.
If you have turned automatic updates off you can manually update your apps by opening the Windows Store > click your account > Downloads and updates > Check for updates.
Go to the app’s page in the Windows Store > scroll to Rate and review this app > score the app from 1 – 5 stars. A review window will pop-up > write a headline and a review to a maximum of 1,000 characters.
Open up the app’s page in the Windows Store > click Share under the app’s name. The Share sidebar will open allowing you to share the relevant app’s info via one on the installed apps with sharing capabilities.
On the app’s page in the Windows Store > scroll down to Additional information > Report this app > click Report this app to Microsoft. In the reporting window, you can choose the reason for reporting the app, including offensive content, child exploitation, malware or virus, privacy concerns, misleading app or poor performance and write a 500-character note to Microsoft.
Open the Windows Store > select your account > Redeem a code > enter your 25-character code or gift card on Microsoft’s online portal to redeem it. Accessing Microsoft’s online portal may require you to first sign into your Microsoft account.
