Juniper Networks to Empower SkyVision, Supports Global Connectivity Expansion
Juniper Networks has recently announced its partnership with SkyVision Global Networks LLC, in which it will be supporting latter’s global connectivity expansion plans. SkyVision is a leading IP telecommunication service provider and has selected Juniper Networks® M10i Multiservice Edge Routers & EX4200 Ethernet Switches to empower its converged infrastructure for satellite and terrestrial fiber-optic network.
“Via our gateways in Europe, North America and the Middle East, we provide IP connectivity with access to the global Internet, as well as a worldwide extensive suite of customized end-to-end solutions and services such as Layer 2 VPLS and layer 3 VPN with complementary security services,” said Adi Katz, vice president, engineering, SkyVision. “We selected Juniper Networks because we required a proven, feature-rich and scalable platform to stand as the backbone of our network, together with carrier-class availability and automated network operations. The Juniper solution also gives us the flexibility and agility to respond to rapid growth and change while protecting our investment.”
SkyVision is already operating in more than 50 countries, and has built up a robust network across the globe. With the help of Juniper Networks, it will now build a new network infrastructure to deliver superior user experience combined with better cost efficiency. The highly advanced features of Juniper’s hardware and operating system will allow it to minimize operational and capital costs plus enhance its revenues.
Juniper will also be adding some products to its portfolio, including the SRX1400 used to secure small to mid-sizes enterprise, including service provider- and mobile operator data center environments.
