New England VMware Event Showcases Real World DataCore Studies

At the New England VMware User Group meeting which will be held Gillette Stadium, 1 Patriot Place, Foxborough, MA 02035 in January 20, 2011 will showcase real world VMware and DataCore customer case studies and its virtualization software’s benefits.  We cover a lot of product launches, service updates and earnings reports for VMware and other cloud industry giants, so it’s nice to take a step back and look at some real world scenarios that implement aspects of the cloud we report on a daily basis.  DataCore should prove an especially useful case study–the company was one of many featured at VMworld 2010.

“VMware vSphere solutions have modernized data centers, but the highly-available shared storage on which they depend are often too costly and not open and flexible. Storage has proved to be the biggest single source of downtime and slowdowns due to the degree of disk storage-related disruptions and I/O performance bottlenecks.”

The “Eliminate Storage-Related Downtime and Bottlenecks in Virtualized Environments” DataCore breakout session presents a response to the setbacks above. The session will demonstrate participants how to eliminate single points of failure for 100% uptime, achieve 200% performance boost, optimize storage resources utilized and accomplish 60% cost savings. Showcased VMware and DataCore customers include the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the Dinwiddie County Government and the Town of South Windsor.

Looking back over some of VMware’s developments in recent months, we have discussed the company’s fresh acquisition of California-based computer network security products provider NeoAccel for an undisclosed amount. We also discussed the VMware and Intel SAP Southwestern /Great American’s case study, as well as the disclosing of financial data regarding the Virtual Computing Environment (VCE) coalition.
