zferral Acquires Cloudomatic, Partners with Chargify
Referral monetization and distribution cloud company zferral announced in a blog post it has acquired Cloudomatic, including its partnership software application dubbed ‘Cloudomatic(flow)’. The acquisition also merges the two companies’ customer base, increasing zferral existing one of several thousands by a few hundreds more.
“We are excited to announce we acquired simple partnership software Cloudomatic(flow) and the assets of the entire Cloudomatic Properties from Jason Baptiste and Andres Barreto, the current founders of OnSwipe”
Baptiste and Barreto had been named as advisors to zferral.
In addition to the acquisition of Cloudomatic, zferral also announced a partnership with Chargify to integrate their applications in order to simplify affiliate and referral programs’ recurring payments.
Referral and affiliate systems have been dubbed as “one of the most efficient customer acquisition strategies” for SaaS companies. zferral is a growing start-up in this market thanks to among others Cloudomatic’s acquisition and an expanded partner base.
zferral is not the only cloud company making acquisitions lately. Earlier VMware acquired Calif.-based network security vendor NeoAccel and gained a new partner, while Salesforce.com announced the acquisition of cloud enterprise application developer DimDim for $31 million.
