Palo Alto Networks Inc. today announced a new cloud security suite designed to provide easier-to-use advanced security features.

Called Prisma, the suite is said to build on the existing success of Palo Alto Networks’ security products with “new experiences.” Those experiences include simplifying access, data protection and application security.

Prisma comes with four different offerings: Prisma Access, Prisma Public Cloud, Prisma SaaS and the VM-Series.

Prisma Access offers secure access to the cloud for branch offices and mobile users anywhere in the world through a scalable, cloud-native architecture. With a streamlined cloud management user interface, the service has been designed for service providers to enable the rapid provisioning of secure outbound internet connectivity for their customers.

As its name may suggest, Prisma Public Cloud has been designed to provide continuous visibility, security and compliance monitoring across public multicloud deployments. Using machine learning, the service correlates data and assesses risk across the cloud environment.

Prisma SaaS is described as a multimode cloud access security broker service that safely enables software as a service application adoption. The service provides risk discovery, adaptive access control, data loss prevention, compliance assurance, data governance, user behavior monitoring and advanced threat prevention.

The last service offered under Prisma is VM-Series, a virtualized form factor of Palo Alto Networks’ Firewall that can be deployed in private and public cloud computing environments.

We provide customers with complete visibility as well as recommended configurations across their entire cloud environment to ensure a strong security posture from the start and consistently prevent attacks,” Lee Klarich, chief product officer at Palo Alto Networks, said in a statement. “With Prisma, organizations can securely connect office branches and mobile users to the cloud, confidently embrace the use of SaaS applications, and rapidly develop and deploy cloud applications.”

Scott Stevens, the company’s senior vice president of worldwide systems engineering, told SiliconANGLE’s video studio theCUBE in March that the increasing scale of attacks dictates a “zero-trust” cybersecurity approach for the company and its services:
