Cyware raises $10M to enhance its threat intelligence and security solutions

Cybersecurity startup Cyware Labs Inc. said Tuesday it has raised $10 million in new funding to enhance its threat intelligence automation, threat response and security orchestration solutions.

The Series A round was led by the Prelude Fund and Tanium and included Emerald Development Managers and Great Road Holdings.

Founded in 2016, Cyware offers what it describes as a “virtual cyber fusion” solution that it says is the next evolution of security orchestration, automation and response. The company’s cybersecurity solution emphasizes proactive engagement as the core of cybersecurity strategy with a goal to help change the ecosystem of cybersecurity and optimize security operations by eliminating security team silos within organizations.

The service is pitched as being able to help companies that may only be starting with threat detection as well as those searching for ways to optimize their security operations centers with customized playbooks. Cyware’s “cyber fusion” comes from the company providing human intelligence, machine intelligence and security automation.

Cyware’s service is mobile-enabled with automated strategic threat intelligence and processing on a shared platform that disseminates real-time alerts and provides enhanced collaboration between security team members.

The company has partnerships with International Business Machines Corp., Infosys Ltd., PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ltd., Ernst & Yong Global Ltd. and Consortium Networks Inc.

Cyware said the rise of distributed workforces combined with rapidly evolving cybercriminals and rising security threats make its solution even more relevant today.

“As organizations begin to understand and address cybersecurity realities amid COVID-19, we’ve grown aggressively and expanded our solution and client portfolio to meet their evolving security needs,” Anuj Goel, chief executive officer and co-founder of Cyware, said in a statement.

Including the new funding, Cyware has raised $13 million to date.
