Livestorm aims for Zoom’s videoconferencing stronghold with new enterprise features

Videoconferencing platform Livestorm Inc. today is announcing a slate of new features aimed at enterprise customers.

They include integration with popular marketing automation platforms, expansion of the maximum meeting size to 3,000 attendees, simplified billing and reporting, and new security features.

The six-year-old firm, which has raised more than $39 million, positions itself as a soup-to-nuts videoconferencing and webcast platform with such features as email templates and sequences, customizable registration pages, email delivery tracking, website widgets and built-in social sharing.

New marketing automation integration features connect the platform to software from HubSpot Inc., Adobe Inc.’s Marketo and Salesforce Inc.’s Pardot. Those platforms can be used for landing pages and email sequence data to allow automated marketing and reporting of Livestorm events.

Maximum attendee capacity has been tripled to 3,000 per event and 25 speakers can now be accommodated simultaneously, up from 16 previously. Features aimed at large meetings include custom branding, registration page personalization, color coordination, branded email sequences virtual whiteboards and media sharing. Question-and-answer sessions now allow for up-voting, live answer notification, emoji reactions and breakout rooms.

Support has also been added for the Real-Time Messaging Protocol, a standard for streaming audio, video and data. That provides the ability for users to create 1080-pixel streaming setups via a video encoder with sub-five-millisecond latency.

Security has been strengthened with the addition of support for the Security Assertion Markup Language single sign-on protocol. Livestorm has already been certified as compliant with the International Organization for Standardization’s 27001 security framework.

Finally, integration with Krisp Technologies Inc.’s audio software provides for bidirectional noise cancellation, echo and voice cancellation and high-quality virtual backgrounds.

The software is priced in tiers with an $88-a-month edition that supports up to 500 active contacts and 500 live attendees. Larger licenses are custom-quoted.
