New OpenText Cloud Editions release streamlines experiences and security

Enterprise software provider OpenText Corp. today announced a new version of its Cloud Editions customer experience management platform as part of its Project Titanium roadmap.

Cloud Editions 23.2 is designed to enable customers to drive productivity and profitability further while streamlining experiences and security in a multicloud world. Introduced at OpenText World EMEA this week, CE 23.2 includes an extensive list of new features to increase and strengthen connections to customers, partners and employees across an organization. Several of the new features come from OpenText’s acquisition of Micro Focus International plc in February.

CE 23.2 integrates OpenText Extended ECM and OpenText Documentum with Micro Focus IDOL, enabling businesses to explore content connections to make smarter, faster decisions with the help of artificial intelligence-powered insights. OpenText Extended ECM is an enterprise content management platform that securely governs the information lifecycle and OpenText Documentum organizes, preserves and makes information easily accessible while adhering to all security and privacy policies. Micro Focus IDOL is an unstructured data analytics service that finds hidden insights in unstructured data.

The new integration enables customers to automatically identify, extract and file business-critical content from third-party applications to their Extended ECM or Documentum repository. Doing so is said to reduce content sprawl and deliver insights into connections and relationships surrounding content through visual knowledge graphs.

The new release features new productivity features to improve workflows. New OpenText Connectors for Microsoft Power Automate allow customers to connect any business process to over 1,000 popular applications. They bridge applications to OpenText Extended ECM, Core Share and eDOCS, allowing users to build and extend their own productivity workflows and eliminate information silos across a massive landscape of applications.

Another new release within CE 23.2, Active Risk Monitor, helps organizations identify, evaluate and monitor suppliers for environmental, social and corporate governance compliance. Organizations can proactively assess and manage their supply chain risk around ESG compliance and beyond by aggregating information from third-party sources, including EcoVadis SAS and Dun & Bradstreet Corp. With support for OpenText Trading Grid, companies gain a consolidated view of their suppliers and can review risks related to specific business activity.

Managed service providers also get a look-in with the release of CE 23.2, with the added ability to create their own disaster recovery-as-a-service offering on the Google Cloud Platform. The addition gives businesses the choice of public or private cloud storage, management of diverse environments through a single console and improved efficiency through greater automation and orchestration.

“Leveraging information to its full potential is now a necessity and to achieve that, businesses need to focus on enterprise reinvention, human-centric work, new rules for corporate accountability and new requirements for technology,” Mark J. Barrenechea, chief executive officer and chief technology officer of OpenText, said in a statement. “The innovations in CE 23.2 provide organizations sustained business value through the information advantage by integrating and automating information across multiple platforms and cloud environments in a connected, responsible and secure way.”
