AI meets email security: Ironscales launches ‘Themis Co-pilot’ beta
Israeli phishing protection startup Ironscales Ltd. today announced the beta launch of a new artificial intelligence tool for Microsoft Outlook designed to empower end-users in threat detection and reporting.
Called Themis Co-pilot, the new service is built upon PhishLLM, a proprietary large language model hosted within Ironscale’s infrastructure. Themis Co-pilot is designed to give end-users the necessary tools to detect and report emerging threats, regardless of their role or cybersecurity expertise.
Ironscales argues that the need for Themis Co-pilot is critical, given the increasing focus of cybercriminals on exploiting the human element of organizations. According to the 2023 Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report, 74% of breaches involved a human element.
Themis Co-pilot is said to stand out from the competition due to its ability to manage false positives, significantly reducing noise for security teams. The enhancement streamlines the security process and enables security personnel to focus on other pressing business initiatives. The tool can also automatically respond to emerging zero-day or previously undiscovered threats, strengthening an organization’s defense against unprecedented cyberattacks.
Ironscale’s Themis AI utilizes data from millions of security events, users, devices and threat intelligence signals, continually learning from a human feedback cycle. Combined with human insights collected from thousands of security analysts across the global network, the hybrid approach is said to create a potent feedback loop for real-time breach prevention.
The company claims that Themis AI will significantly change the cybersecurity landscape and the way organizations deal with phishing attacks. The tool empowers users to become an active part of a company’s defense strategy by instilling cyber resilience at every level of an organization, it says.
“We believe our continuous feedback loop between our AI, human insights and SAT capabilities is the most comprehensive approach to email security and remains unmatched by other vendors in the industry,” Chief Executive Eyal Benishti said ahead of the release.
