Informatica deepens ties to Snowflake ecosystem

Informatica Corp. is launching four new product capabilities for Snowflake Inc.’s Data Cloud platform that are aimed at simplifying and speeding up the data integration replication process, all available within the native Snowflake ecosystem.

Informatica Superpipe for Snowflake is said to deliver up to 3.5 times faster ingestion and replication into Snowflake. It’s the result of collaboration between the two companies into ways to leverage the combination of Snowflake’s Snowpipe Streaming data ingestion feature and Informatica’s cloud data integration capabilities. A public preview is available now, with general availability in the second half of the year.

Enterprise Data Integrator is a Snowflake-native application that gives customers access to Informatica’s Intelligent Data Management Cloud directly from the Snowflake platform and marketplace. Users can bidirectionally integrate data to and from the Snowflake Data Cloud with applications from other providers, including Oracle Corp., SAP SE, Google LLC, Microsoft Corp. and Salesforce Inc. The software will be offered in a public preview during the second half of 2023 and be available by the end of the year.

Cloud Data Integration-Free is a no-cost/no-code/no-setup data loading and integration utility that Snowflake users can apply for data loading and integration. The free version gives customers up to 20 million rows or 10 processing hours per month for data pipelines and data integration.

Informatica Cloud Data Integration support for Apache Iceberg on Snowflake allows data sets to be loaded, prepared and stored in native and external Iceberg tables on Snowflake using no-code data pipelines. Currently in public preview, it is scheduled to be available during the second half of the year.

The announcements are being made at Snowflake Summit in Las Vegas this week.
