In today’s business world, it’s imperative that companies make strategy decisions that are insights driven. This allows them to get the best out of their data.
To unlock hidden insights from data, Alteryx Inc. takes the bull by the horns by streamlining complex and repetitive processes through automation. This is where the Alteryx Analytics Cloud comes in handy, according to Adam Wilson (pictured), senior vice president and general manager of Analytics Cloud at Alteryx.
“About a year and a half ago, Alteryx acquired Trifacta, and really Trifacta has become the platform foundation for the entire Alteryx Analytics Cloud,” Wilson stated. “Everything that you’re trying to do around analytics automation, around data quality, around prep and blend, around location intelligence, machine learning, AI, all of that now plugs into the Trifacta infrastructure and gives everybody an integrated experience that allows them to kind of complete their end-to-end journey.”
Wilson spoke with theCUBE industry analysts John Furrier and Rob Strechay at the Google Cloud Next event, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed how Alteryx is streamlining data analytics for enhanced insights and how Google Cloud fits into the picture. (* Disclosure below.)
With the AI moment materializing thanks to innovations, such as ChatGPT, data continues to take center stage based on the analytics required. As a result, Alteryx has devised a burning platform where organizations can stitch data together for tailor-made or customized solutions when it comes to foundation models, according to Wilson.
“There’s a lot of discussion about what’s happening with the modeling and with the algorithms, but at the end of the day, if your data quality is bad, then your AI is probably worthless,” he stated. “I think everyone can’t lose sight of the importance of data now more than ever before … you just can’t lose sight of that piece in the middle, which is where a ton of heavy lifting needs to occur, and ultimately where I think a lot of this is going to be won or lost.”
Through its partnership with Google Cloud, Alteryx acts as the connective tissue when building data products. This is because it saves enterprises the pain point of having to deal with different infrastructures, databases, APIs and engines, Wilson pointed out.
“The relationship that was established with Google around Google Dataprep was the first time in the history of Google Cloud that they’d ever put their brand on a third-party technology,” he noted. “We were quite honored to be selected as that solution. We’ve now been in the market with Google for almost six years with this product, and at the show, we announced an amplification of that relationship around Looker Studio.”
