PushBI Tops Business Apps for iPad, Android Tablets this Week

This week we’ve rounded up five of the best iPad and Honeycomb business apps.  Tablets are of increasing importance as Android seeks to dominate this sector too.  With the latest Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 release, Android’s wish is on its way to becoming true.  The mobile workforce is hungry for apps that free them from the chains of an office desk, and here are some worthy of a second look.

iPad

PushBI Mobile Business Intelligence

PushBI is a mobile business apps that lets users view real-time metrics such as ad campaigns, brand awareness and other statistics from their iPads. The free app also offers several other features, such as the ability to communicate with coworkers via comments and notes.

SharePlus

SharePlus automatically syncs SahrePoint files with the user’s iPad, iPhone and iPad, and lets them carry out a number of tasks on the go. The iPad app utlize’s the user’s existing permissions to access a company server, and supports real-time collaboration and sharing, document editing, iPad snapshots upload and more.

CNBC Real-Time

CNBC Real-Time providers real-time quote from the NYSE and NASDAQ throughout most of the day, from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m. The app also streams real time as well as historical interactive charts, key metrics,  indexes and  pre markets among other thing, along with an integration with the CNBC news service. That includes news updates and video.

Android

Brainshark

Brainshark announced a couple days ago that its Android app, designed for both smartphones and tablets, has hit Cisco’s AppHQ. AppHQ is the app store for its Cius enterprise tablet.  Brainshark lets users browse, view and edit presentations, which they can share, comment on and more. The app also comes with polling capabilities and over a thousand eLearning presentations.

CNN

The CNN app for Honeycomb deliver news from the financial world and beyond with insight, video and interactive features that helped rank the app as one of the best ones on the Android Market.
