No-code automation startup Tines expands platform to decrease alerts and duplicate efforts

Irish no-code automation startup Tines Security Service Ltd. today announced an expansion of its platform to enable teams to do their best work with fewer alerts, duplicate efforts and information silos.

With the expansion, the Tines Workflow Builder now offers usability and flexibility for every team, according to the company. The platform enables single builds to interact with multiple systems and effortlessly combine data without restrictions. It also allows teams to build ticket management and telemetry that fosters consistency, improves audibility and minimizes the likelihood of inaccuracies.

Tines’ platform is designed to address an issue wherein existing automation solutions force teams to choose between usability and the depth required to handle complex processes, often delivering neither. Tines argues that current models are typically siloed to specific teams, making them difficult to operate between tools. Instead, Tines offers what it says is fast, frictionless and reliable no-code automation that eliminates silos and allows teams to work across a company’s technology stack.

“We built Tines to solve the automation challenges of any team and now we’re fulfilling that vision as our customers successfully deploy Tines throughout their organizations,” said co-founder and Chief Executive Eoin Hinchy. “Building on our success in security, our platform now enables organizations of all sizes to maximize the investments made in their people and systems.”

Since being founded in 2018, Tines has seen strong traction and growth, counting among its customers Canva Pty Ltd., Coinbase Global Inc., Databricks Inc., GitLab Inc., Reddit Inc. and Snowflake. In the case of Snowflake, the company is said to have successfully automated 92% of its previously manual alerts by using the Tine platform.

“Business leaders facing economic pressures and a widening skills gap that can benefit from hyper automation and composability — powered by low- and no-code software development — to meet their business needs, “ said Melinda Marks, senior analyst for the Enterprise Strategy Group. “Tines’ expansion beyond its initial security focus will be helpful for organizations who can leverage the company’s automation so teams can focus on high-impact work and deliver meaningful outcomes faster.”

Tines is a venture capital-backed startup, having raised $96.1 million over four rounds, according to CBInsights. Investors in the company include Felicis Ventures LLC, Accel Partners LP, Addition Ventures LLC, Blossom Capital Partners LLC and Lux Capital Management LP.
