NTT DATA expands partnership with Palo Alto Networks to launch AI-powered cybersecurity service

Information technology service and consulting company NTT DATA Corp. today announced an expanded partnership with cybersecurity firm Palo Alto Networks Inc. that helps enterprises safeguard their digital infrastructure from emerging cybersecurity threats.

The expanded partnership sees the introduction of NTT DATA’s Managed Extended Detection Response service, a new service that offers continuous threat monitoring, detection and rapid response capabilities. The service leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide visibility across networks, edge and cloud environments, allowing organizations to stay ahead of evolving cyberthreats.

The new service is powered by Palo Alto Networks’ Cortex XSIAM, its security operations center platform that uses AI and automation to simplify operations, stop threats at scale and accelerate incident remediation.

The combined capabilities are designed to help enterprises strengthen their cyber resistance through the integration of technology, threat intelligence and security expertise and, in doing so, significantly reduce the time needed to detect and respond to sophisticated cyberthreats. Users of NTT DATA MXDR also benefit from a unified view of data and security operations on a single platform to streamline operations and prevent threats.

“Many organizations rely on fragmented security systems, making it harder to detect advanced threats and react quickly,” said Sheetal Mehta, global head of cybersecurity at NTT DATA. “By partnering with Palo Alto Networks, we’re delivering a unified solution that strengthens cyber resilience, streamlines security operations and improves overall agility.”

Features of NTT DATA’s new MXDR service include 24/7 incident detection and response, supported by a global operations team with expertise in cybersecurity. Through the use of AI-driven threat intelligence and machine learning, MXDR delivers rapid threat detection and mitigation.

With its provision of real-time threat intelligence, NTT says, MXDR also offers proactive protection that reduces operational complexity for clients, enhances resource management and lowers the total cost of ownership. The service ensures that organizations can respond quickly and efficiently to sophisticated threats.

The partnership between the two companies is focused on industries that depend on secure, connected environments, such as manufacturing, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. Key benefits include comprehensive edge-to-cloud security that provides full visibility into devices and networks to ensure robust protection against cyber threats.

This collaboration additionally offers AI-powered threat detection for rapid, machine-speed responses, a unified platform to reduce complexity and total cost of ownership and resilience against downtime through integrated, automated services. Combined, the capabilities confidently support business continuity, global reach and modernization.
