Motorola has officially announced that its 4G LTE-equipped DROID Bionic will be available from Verizon Wireless starting September 8.  It will set you back $299.99 with a two-year customer agreement.  This power-packed Android phone features a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4.3-inch qHD display, 8MP autofocus camera with flash and 1080p video capture.  It also sports a front-facing camera, microSD card slot and 32GB of total memory. In addition, the Verizon DROID Bionic will also be loaded with the MOTOPRINT app to let you print via Wi-Fi enabled printers, receiver for Android, HTML5 support, mirror mode with HDMI out, and multi-window options for your multitasking needs.

The Droid Bionic runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and comes with an attractive set of homescreen widgets from Motorola. The web browser on the Droid Bionic is snappy, especially on the 4G network.  Motorola is really pushing its own platform here, tapping into personal cloud trends for streaming media services.  The Bionic comes with a Motorola-built program called ZumoCast that allows users to stream music, videos, pictures and documents stored on a personal computer to the phone.

HTC Amaze – T-Mobile

Meanwhile, Wireless carrier T-Mobile USA is reportedly gearing up for the release of a new smartphone on its fast 4G HSPA+ network, and that device might be none other than the already rumored HTC Ruby, said to arrive on shelves at the operator as the Amaze 4G.

The new mobile phone runs on Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and is expected to arrive on the market with the Sense 3.5 user interface on top of it.  The specifications list of the new device also includes an 8-megapixel camera on the back, with dual-LED flash and support for HD video recording.

Moreover, AT&T’s 4G LTE network should be in full force soon, and the HTC Holiday might be its very first smartphone to take advantage of it. The HTC Holiday looks like your average HTC smartphone with the latest version of Sense UI, but it’s what’s inside that counts.  Word is that it will sport a 4.5-inch touchscreen display and will be powered by a 1.2GHz processor, with an 8 megapixel camera.  Android 2.3.4 is overlaid with HTC’s Sense 3.0 interface.

The carrier’s first 4G smartphone posted some rather impressive numbers according to the speed tests. In the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas, the phone managed to put down more than 29Mbps on downloads.
