Now Available: Android Training from Google & Flash Player 11.1

A blog posted by Tim Bray in Android Developers announced Android Training – a collection of classes that we hope will help you to build better Android apps.

“Each class explains the steps required to solve a problem, or implement a feature, with plenty of code snippets and sample code for you to use within your own apps,” said Reto Meier, Android Developer Relations Tech Lead, author of the post.

“We’re starting small and this is just the beginning for Android Training. Over the coming months we will be increasing the number of classes available, as well as introducing over-arching courses and sample apps to further help your development experience.”

The Android Training consists of different classes designed to address common Android developer problems.  As of now, classes available are:

More classes will be added in the future and some of the existing classes will be refined and expanded.  Also, they’re planning on building Training Courses that will help developers enhance apps using objective-oriented collections of classes.

As for other Android news, just as the Galaxy Nexus became available in the US, Adobe announced that the Flash Player 11.1 is now available for the Galaxy Nexus.  When the device launched in the UK, the Flash Player was not installed in the device, which was weird since the Adobe Flash Player gave Android its edge against Apple iPhones.

The new version doesn’t really have anything big to offer aside from being compatible with the Android Ice Cream Sandwich, but minor issues were addressed such as bug fixes related to stability, performance, and device compatibility.
