Precisely launches unified AI data platform and AI Studio library of agents and apps
Data management software company Precisely Software Inc. today introduced the Precisely Platform, a unified system designed to make enterprise data ready for artificial intelligence.
Developers also get Precisely AI Studio, a library of ready-made AI agents and apps. Precisely is pitching the platform as an answer to the “patchwork of point solutions” enterprises use to manage data held in cloud lakehouses as well as older mainframe and SAP systems. When agents start acting on that data by themselves, a mistake a person might once have caught can become an automated decision before anyone steps in.
Stewart Bond, an International Data Corp. vice president who tracks data intelligence and integration software, said many organizations “continue to struggle with fragmented data environments” as pressure builds to put AI to work. He described the industry as shifting toward “unified data intelligence platforms.”
On the Precisely Platform, nothing has to be migrated into a single ecosystem first, since data is managed “where it lives,” as Precisely put it. Every tool on it, master data management included, draws on one metadata and semantic layer. A rule or policy defined once applies across all of them.
Work that Precisely said “previously required specialized expertise,” such as writing data quality rules and matching records, is now handled by AI built into the platform. Every data asset can also carry quality and governance scores, which Precisely wants executives to treat as evidence of what is fit for AI and where risk remains.
“Agents don’t stop to question the data they’re given,” said Matt Waxman, chief product officer at Precisely. “They act on it at scale, far faster than people can catch and correct errors.”
Precisely calls location intelligence and built-in data enrichment the platform’s “distinctive capabilities.” Its enrichment data arrives “pre-linked” with location and business attributes for more than 250 countries and territories. The company describes the result as “a connected, machine-readable model of the world” for AI to work from.
Gio, the platform’s AI assistant, is one way in. Application programming interfaces, software development kits and a command-line interface let teams use the platform from tools they already run. New Model Context Protocol servers, also out today, open the platform and a number of existing Precisely products to assistants such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT.
AI Studio is the part of today’s news aimed at developers. Its assets work with all three of those assistants, and Precisely says users can start prototyping within minutes. Several show how to improve data with platform features such as address geocoding and data replication pipelines. The collection also includes apps and agents that build on that data, such as a property analyzer and a real estate intelligence agent.
Waxman said a convincing AI demo is the easy part compared with “building AI you can trust at scale.” At Precisely partner Korem Inc., a Canadian geospatial firm, time to value on customer projects “used to be calculated in months,” according to Jimmy Duchesne, director of solutions innovation and presales. He said it can now be measured in days.
The Precisely Platform is in preview and is due to reach general availability in early 2027. AI Studio is available now, and new users can sign up for a free trial. Precisely, which went by the name Syncsort until 2020, will walk through both launches at a virtual event Thursday.
