Virtual desktop solutions maker Pano Logic issued a couple of releases today, reporting some official figures indicating its growth in the past year, along with a major internal change.
First up is Pano Logic’s performance for 2011. According to the company, it has seen more than 25 percent increase in revenue last year, thanks to a series of milestones including the launch of Pano System 5.0. We covered the update last year, the most notable addition being the added support for VMware View and Citrix XenDesktop, which opened up the solution to a much broader range of prospective users.
“We reached a number of milestones in our product roadmap that have transformed the Pano System into a high performing enterprise class solution that drove our significant growth in the marketplace,” said John Kish, CEO of Pano Logic.
“We are serving the needs of a more diverse customer base, and seeing an acceleration of deployments from contained pilots to widespread departmental rollouts, as users realize the benefits of our fully centralized, zero client desktop computing solution.”
Pano Logic is keen on maintaining its pace this year as well, and its latest initiative will underscore this goal. This morning it announced the formation of the new “Customer Success” Group, which will operate as a sort of consultancy to customers upgrading their traditional infrastructures. Mike Fodor, who has served as vice president of product management for about five years now, has been appointed to lead the new department.
The VDI space is heating up, and the bigger players are all working to address the latest trends that surface in this market. Teradici upgraded two software offerings late last year, also expanding support for virtualization technologies – among other things, such as a capacity boost.
