Nileguide Accelerates Growth with 10Best Acquisition

California-based Nileguide seems unstoppable in its emergence as one of the premier global travel content publishers, with its latest acquisition of 10Best.com. 10Best is a travel recommendation site and expected to boost Nileguide’s niche development. The deal was signed off today, but the amount remains undisclosed to the public.

Just recently, the company also acquired an important player in the travel web industry, Localyte.com- a travel Q&A site. They also named new executives that will occupy position in business development analysis, Peter Alley from Netflix and Nick Atkins co-founder Voyij join the NileGuide. Funding also arrived earlier this year that will be utilized to becoming the world’s leading provider of great recommendation “for-travelers-by-locals”.

Following this announcement is and interview with NileGuide CEO Josh Steinitz. He stressed, “We’re committed to creating high-quality original travel content that marries local knowledge with expert editorial, and this acquisition helps us accelerate that strategy.”

Nileguide, by strategy, hired editors from top tourist destinations in the world. The advantage that Localyte brings the organization is that visitors will be granted the unique ability to receive answers to their travel questions from locals living in over 75,000 destinations around the world.  Known as Nileguide Local Experts, these people would bring you close to some of the famed and renowned attractions. They can also tell you what to do on specific places and what hotels are nearby. This brings what they call “intimate travel and exploration.”

On the other hand, 10Best will be responsible in making recommendations based on the strengths and weaknesses of a restaurant, attractions, beaches and more. Additionally, this site will empower Nileguide to identify the finest hotels and shopping areas within its proximity.
