Nimble 2.0: the Cloud More Social, User-Oriented

Nimble (not to be confused with Nimble Storage) is a SaaS company that, like a sizable percentage of tech startups, offers a whole new angle on the rather traditional CRM market. Nimble’s cloud-based platform is focused on the idea of making contact management and customer support a much more social and simplified process on both ends of the aisle.  Today, it announced a completely revamped version simply referred to as Nimble 2.0.

The product features several tweaks. Consolation is a big emphasis: the new UI aggregates customer data, social activities, messages and other data in a very accessible format, all while offering more customization. It underscored the purpose of what may be the most significant improvement in 2.0 – deeper social integration with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+. The previous version of the SaaS required users to tab from their social page to the CRM, so this particular update is a rather positive one both in terms of usability and communicability.

Last but not least, the overhauled Nimble features even more integration. HubSpot is not plugged directly into the platform, making it easier for users to advance their sales efforts.

“Established CRM vendors are rushing to ‘bolt on’ social media integration onto existing products, which is necessary but not sufficient. As a consequence, there is a market opportunity for a social CRM (CRM) suite like Nimble that was developed from the beginning to have a tight integration with an expanding number of social media,” said Ovum’s Carter Lusher in an analyst quote.

Nimble also highlighted that one fifth of its 250 partners are based in Europe. The company recently opened its EMEA headquarters and has made it very clear that it’s pushing towards going global.
