The Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA has set the stage for VMworld 2013 which will be held on August 25-29, 2013.

Defy Convention

 

This year’s theme is “Defy Convention,” and it offers attendees informative Breakout Sessions and Hands-on Lab training, plus access to a number of technology partners to discuss virtualization best practices, building a private cloud, leveraging the public cloud, managing desktops as a service, virtualizing enterprise applications and more.

Attendees will hear keynotes from VMware CEO Pat Gelsinger, VMware President and COO Carl Eschenbach, MakerBot CEO Bre Pettis, JoyLabz Founder and Director Jay Silver, and Romotive CEO Keller Renaudo.

Interested attendees can register early and only pay $1995 until August 24, afterwhich, onsite price is at $2195.  But if you’re only interested in attending General Sessions and access to the Expo floor, the price is only $325.  If you have a +1, VMware has something in store for them.  The 6th Annual Spoustives at VMware is an event dedicated to spouses, partners, friends, and family members traveling to San Francisco with VMworld conference attendees.  It’s open for both men and women but there’s a small registration fee for some of the activities.  If your +1s are interest in participating, better have them register early to get sure slots.

Mobile apps

 

Attendees can also now download the VMworld 2013 app, available for both Android and iOS.  The app allows attendees to access their personal schedules, conference agenda, sponsor/exhibitor profiles, session information, social media and much more.  If you’re not an Android or iOS user, you can check out the VMworld 2013 Web app as it offers the same key information as the mobile apps.
