Leak: Microsoft Band 2 won’t make you look like a burglar

As we await Microsoft’s big hardware event on October 6th in New York most of the excitement, gossip and never-ending leaks concerning the new gadgets have been about Microsoft’s Surface Pro 4 laptop/tablet and a couple of flagship Lumia phones going by the name of Talkman and CityMan. The Microsoft Band 2 however, which is also expected to be unveiled at the press event, has been less the object of our desires and the subject of leaks. Until now.

According to Spanish site MicrosoftInsider, it has exclusive leaked images of the new wearable from Microsoft. The images have been slowly making the rounds of tech media and everyone seems to agree that Microsoft Band 2 just looks more stylish and should be more at home on the wrist. Let’s be frank, the Microsoft Band looked like something the courts demand you wear after breaking and entering into someone’s house to steal their Apple Watch. Why Microsoft made the watch look so unforgiving is anyone’s guess.

This iteration, if the leaks are the real deal, looks less like an electronic tag and more like a sleek fitness band. Not only has the face been curved, but the metallic finish also makes it look like something you wouldn’t be ashamed of wearing around the office.

As for what to expect in terms of what the wearable does, we’ll just have to wait until October 6th. Rumors suggest that Band 2 will track you as you climb or run up stairs, but there’s not really much else we have heard.
