It’s Really No Surprise that Microsoft Gets Bad Press

Everyone was chuckling a few days ago, ourselves included, in reacting to the the report that Microsoft has fallen out of favor with the media. As humorous as that might be, the flip side is that Mircrosoft, when it does get press, usually gets the crap end of the stick in the tech blogosphere.

A perfect example of this is a post today at CMS Wire where, in a nice big headline, they write: Want IE9? You’ll Need an Unreleased Service Pack with That

Excuse me?image

Didn’t we debunk this crap the day after the pageview grabbing headline was first posted at Ars Technica a week ago?

Why yes we did, and the original post was also updated by Ars Technica. Yet, here we are a week later, and we still have a tech blog perpetrating a bullshit line of FUD, despite the fact countless tech blogs have written about how wrong this report is .

I have no problem calling Microsoft out on the carpet when it deserves. Hell, I consider it our job. But this kind of inaccurate reporting is nothing short of irresponsible.
