LucidChart Launches Offline, Accessibility Features at Google I/O

Collaboration, graphics and accessibility are red hot topics at the ongoing Google I/O Conference.  The two-day event featured a Google TV revamp, some explosive bombs from Android, several Chrome developments including Chrome OS, its browser-based operating system, Chrome Webstore buying and finding applications and web programming tools like Google App Engine, Native Client, or Google Web Toolkit. Within this hefty pack is LucidSpace’s LucidChart—a tool that helps executives, web developers, designers, university instructors and project managers organize information and present in an attention-catching manner.

LucidChart is a web-based collaborative visual communication and diagramming app that features any-time, any-where and any browser access. The HTML5-based app with the release of full offline functionality lets users create diagrams, great looking wireframes, app mockups, flowcharts, mind maps and other visual image. This app permits users publishing to PDF or other image formats easily and robustly. The drag-and-drop interface component of LucidChart saves a lot of time and allows real-time project collaboration within an organization and externally with clients and partners.

LucidChart CEO Karl Sun explains the functionality of this app and differentiates it from the rest of its kind. He noted, “More and more software is being delivered in the cloud, but one of the major shortcomings of web apps is what happens when users aren’t connected. With our full-featured offline mode, users can create or edit any of their documents no matter where they are. The entire experience is seamless and fits right into each user’s natural workflow.”

LucidChart is a top paid commodity in Chrome App Store. It can be downloaded for free is a 25 MB app that allows 2 collaborators and 60 objects per document. Charges vary depending on the level of collaboration, premium features and number of users.
