If the ongoing narcissism of never ending selfies isn’t sufficiently feeding your ego, meet the Belfie stick, a stick that allows you to take pictures of your backside.
The stick debuted at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week and features a hinge halfway along allowing for easy angle adjustment, allowing you to get your smartphone in exactly the right rear butt facing position without the need of a mirror.
“You’ve taken a selfie, now take a belfie!” the products marketing screams, adding “our unique design makes it easy to take pics of your bum in any angle. Never drop your phone again!”
If you haven’t lost interest at this point, the term “belfie,” a portmanteau of butt and selfie, was coined by Kim Kardashian who is famed for being obsessed with her ample posterior. Apparently Ms. Kardashian’s belfie shots have started a trend of social media butt shots, and the company hopes to cater to that market.
The stick comes with bluetooth, has an extendable arm, and works with iOS, Android, and even caters for the 5 people who use Windows Phone.
How much will this abomination of 21st century narcissism cost you?
Where a regular selfie stick may set you back $10-20, the super wizbang Belfie Stick will set you back $79.99, and if you absolutely have to have one, your ego, fired by Freudian level mommy issues, will undoubtedly thank you.
For those not interested, we can just hope that Belfie Stick users end up as popular as Glassholes.
