Social media content aggregator FriendFeed officially ceased operations on April 9, 2015. The announcement of the service being shut down happened in March, with the team stating that the steady decline of users was the reason behind the shutdown.
Back in 2009, FriendFeed was acquired by Facebook, Inc. for around $15 million in cash and about $32.5 million in Facebook stocks. Back then, the social giant saw a huge potential for the company because it provided real-time information that could be leveraged to learn more about what its users want. Unfortunately, as years passed, the number of people using FriendFeed declined, which led to the shutdown announcement despite the team’s best efforts.
The purpose of FriendFeed was to help people stay on top of trending topics on social media platforms so they wouldn’t need to check each and every online media service they used. They just went on FriendFeed, saw what their friends were talking about, and they were good to go. But now that FriendFeed has been retired, what else can we use?
Postano
Postano allows users to aggregate and see all social media content from major social networking sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Vine, YouTube, Google+, Phhhoto, Foursquare, Tumblr, Vimeo, Flickr, Weibo and even stream RSS feeds.
It features Smart Streams, which allows users to create streams of content that can be tailored to specific needs, and it even supports hashtags. The service also allows users to post simultaneously to these various platforms so their followers and friends are kept updated to what they post.

Jyst
Using Facebook and Twitter is already too much for some people, because they find it hard to keep up with everything that’s happening on both platforms. Jyst, pronounced like the word gist, aims to give people the essence or most important feeds on your Facebook and Twitter accounts.
You can stay on top of stories most shared by your friends or people you follow, as well as easily update posts on both services. You also get real-time previews of your posts, so you’ll see how it would appear on both platforms before they get published, as well as be able to customize posts for each platform.
.
Juicer
This platform squeezes out all the goodness out of all the social networking platforms you use, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Tumblr, Google+, Pinterest, Soundcloud, LinkedIn, Flickr, Vimeo, RSS feed and even hashtags. All you have to do is choose which accounts and hashtags you want to add to your Juicer feed and embed it to your website. Your audience will then be presented with a beautifully curated social feed from all your connected accounts.
THANK YOU
