As we reported a few weeks ago, Apple’s next iPhone is likely to be called the ‘iPhone7’ and it’s due for release in September. Now, commissioned by ComputerBild.de, well-known German designer Martin Hajek has released a collection of concept images that provide a glimpse at what the new iPhone 7 may look like.

Here is a look at the highlights of Hajek’s iPhone 7 concept:

Thinner bezel, bigger screen

The concept images show the same underlying design as Apple’s current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models, but Hajek imagines Apple will reduce the bezel on the iPhone 7 to accommodate a larger screen while keeping the device the same size.

The extra screen real estate is achieved by incorporating the Touch ID sensor in the display and by relocating the ear speaker, FaceTime camera, and the proximity sensor to the very top edge of the iPhone.

New antenna configuration

A seemingly small improvement to the design of the rear of the iPhone 7, as imagined by Hajek, includes Apple moving from the antenna bars on the iPhone 6 to antenna rings parallel to the edges of the iPhone 7.

Dual-lens camera

Staying with the rear of the iPhone 7, Hajek envisions a new duel-lens camera system for the iPhone 7. We’ve already reported on rumors that the next iPhone will have the “biggest camera jump ever,”, thanks to a new tow-lens system.

The possibility of an improved camera in the iPhone 7 is made more likely when taking into account Apple’s recent acquisition of Israeli camera technology company LinX Computational Imaging, Ltd. Incorporating LinX’s technology, the iPhone 7 could take better photos in low-light conditions, reduce noise and lend it SLR-like capabilities.

Goodbye Home Button

Along with incorporating the Touch ID sensor in the display, Apple may also do away with the physical home button, which is conspicuously absent from Hajek’s rendering. Apple is likely to achieve this by using Force Touch technology in the iPhone 7; a very likely possibility as suggested by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo in a note to investors.

More power

The next iteration of Apple iPhone is likely to have a more powerful processor, dubbed the A9 and manufactured by Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., according to a report by Bloomberg.

Curved Screen

In January, reports surfaced of a new patent awarded to Apple for technology that will give phones “flexible touch-sensitive layers and flexible display cover layers.” This may point at a curved screen coming to future iPhones.
