Smart mirror does more than take selfies
Smart Ltd. aims to revolutionize mirrors in our home and office with the Selfie Mirror. As the name implies, the mirror helps you capture great photos, but you can also use the device to get information on the weather, messages from social or even use it as a control center for your smart home.

Startup promises unbreakable encryption for IoT
Secret Double Octopus Ltd. promises to deliver a new approach for the encryption of connected devices that is unbreakable both in theory and practice. It utilizes a “secret sharing” scheme that allows it to split up a file into small encrypted chunks that are randomized and transmitted to a desired destination via different routes and the recipient will then have to perfectly reassemble the payload.

Smart clothing maker Athos raises $35.5m Series C
Mad Apparel, Inc., makers of smart clothing line Athos, has raised $35.5 million in a round of funding led by Social Capita. The round of funding will be used to drive innovation, increase manpower, and scale operations.

Startup monitors smart home devices for hackers
If you’re worried your smart home is constantly listening to you or hackers are invading your smart home, Dojo-Labs aims to help secure your connected home with a simple device called Dojo. Looking like a rock that you can place anywhere you please, it immediately alerts you if one of your connected devices is communicating or someone is trying to get in your network.

3D smart glasses target doctors, engineers
Atheer, Inc. has unveiled the AiR Glasses, an interactive 3D smart glasses, and the AiR Enterprise Suite, a cloud-based collaboration and task flow interaction solution for Fortune 1000 companies. These are aimed to help those “deskless professionals” make their jobs a lot less complicated.
