Leaders in oil and gas, financial services, healthcare and life sciences face daunting challenges both within their own industry and in their respective IT departments. Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co.’s (HPE’s) High Performance Computing (HPC) team wants to help with the latter.
Building off of the HPC alliance initiative that the company signed with Intel this past summer, the new group works with leaders from various industries on cost and performance optimization.
Brent Allen, group manager of HPC and Big Data vertical solutions at HPE, said that the group takes a consultative approach. “We bring the customers on site or go to their site with our engineering teams,” he said. “We work side by side in evolving their stack and ensuring that the end result is an optimized solution.”
Allen told Dave Vellante and John Furrier, cohosts of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, during HPE Discover 2015 in London that the alliance is very new, which means he’s having a lot of exploratory conversations during HPE Discover.
“A lot of alliances have been formed, and we’re fortunate to be part of those environments,” he said.
