New Salesforce Einstein Automate products help nontechnical customers

Salesforce Inc. today rolled out three new products to its Einstein Automate cloud offering that are designed to assist customers regardless of technical background.

Previewed in December, Einstein Automate is designed to enable users to create workflows for automating tasks such as processing customer requests with little to no coding. The new products add low-code tools to automate time-consuming, manual processes and the ability to integrate data across systems for wherever they’re based.

The new products include MuleSoft Robotic Process Automation, Einstein Document Reader and Digital Process Automation.

MuleSoft RPA is a new robotic process automation capability that replaces repetitive tasks with bots that can intelligently process documents, enter data or take action on the user’s behalf, all without code. The capability with MuleSoft RPAs involves bots that work for any system or application, including PDF documents, spreadsheets and even disconnected legacy systems.

Einstein Document Reader taps into Einstein’s capabilities to scan documents such as driver’s licenses and I-9s, a U.S. employment eligibility verification authorization, and to take action on that data with just a few clicks within Salesforce Flow. The functionality is said to reduce human error and improve accuracy.

Digital Process Automation allows users to engage in digital experiences fast with drag-and-drop tools that are claimed to define automation rules and logic, extract information from documents and integrate into automated workflows — all without writing code.

In addition to the new capabilities from MuleSoft RPA, Einstein Automate also integrates disparate apps and data to Salesforce using clicks. MuleSoft Composer for Salesforce allows administrators and other users to leverage a growing library of pre-built connectors and templates to automate integrations from multiple sources quickly.

Einstein Automate also automates lengthy business processes with simple, reusable workflows. Salesforce Flow allows anyone to build automated business processes that trigger changes to data or events like creating a follow-up task when a deal closes or alerting a support manager of an escalation.

The new Einstein Automation features will be highlighted at Dreamforce, Salesforce’s annual convention to be held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco Sept. 21-23.
