The shifting focus from app usage monitoring to enhancing the employee digital experience

Companies are moving away from monitoring how long employees use apps and instead focusing on assessing whether employees have a positive and fulfilling experience while using various applications.

Current technology plays a role in shaping how employees experience their work, whether they work remotely or within a setup where the digital aspect of their job highlights their competence and confidence in completing tasks no matter where they are located.

“It’s very difficult to get good visibility with all those technologies that are there,” said Asaf Ganot, co-founder, executive chairman and head of product strategy at ControlUp Technologies Ltd. “If you look at any large organization, they have some investment in virtual desktops, either VMware or Citrix, cloud desktop. They have those physical desktops, and it’s just very difficult to understand what’s going on.”

Ganot was joined by Jed Ayres (pictured, right) chief executive officer of ControlUp, as they spoke with theCUBE industry analysts Dave Vellante and John Furrier at VMware Explore 2023, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed options for providing digital experiences to employees that their respective companies offer. (* Disclosure below.)

Exposing customers to a new product

ControlUp is currently dedicated to developing a platform and expanding its operations through acquisitions. It is particularly focused on collaborating with channel partners due to the growth potential in the virtual desktop infrastructure and physical device market.

ControlUp seamlessly integrates with a range of infrastructure applications, such as Microsoft Azure, VMware and Citrix, providing IT professionals with a solution.

“We’re trying to expose more people to this physical Edge DX product. We just announced this morning that [there is] a 50 free trial, … and we’ve already had dozens of people download it,” said Ganot.
