Automation Anywhere’s vision for a future shaped by AI
A big theme at Google Cloud Next 2024 this week has been collaboration. Google LLC has often emphasized partnership in its ecosystem, which is helping to make generative AI real as it begins to shape work and society.
For Automation Anywhere Inc., an AI-powered automation platform, the vision is to transform how work happens. The company seeks to do that by automating processes end-to-end, according to Mihir Shukla (pictured), founder and chief executive officer of Automation Anywhere.
“We have about 300 million of [these] processes automated, and they’ve been growing three times a year,” Shukla said. “The world as we know it is changing in front of our eyes, and we are looking forward to a world where every human being is empowered to be assisted with this technology and being able to unleash their true potential. That’s the future we are all working towards.”
Shukla spoke with theCUBE Research analysts Rebecca Knight and Rob Strechay at Google Cloud Next 2024, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed Automation Anywhere’s collaboration with Google Cloud and the transformative potential of AI and automation in various industries. (* Disclosure below.)
AI could create new ways of doing everything
When it comes to the intersection of Automation Anywhere and Google Cloud, Shukla provided an example of what might be done in healthcare. Because Google is multimodal, it’s possible to create automatic after-visit summaries.
“Not just that, but in a native language, in an audio format, and that’s automatically done,” Shukla said. “Completely taking a patient experience to a level you could never imagine before. This is the power of technology.”
There has been a lot of generative AI conversation that has been limited to personal productivity. And while that is useful, there are bigger things at play here, according to Shukla.
“We talked about a few examples of how an enterprise could operate, how patient or a customer experience could completely transform and creating a new way of doing everything,” he said. “That phrase is very timely given you see everywhere; this is really a new way of imagining how work happens.”
