Cybersecurity technology provider Rapid7 Inc. today announced additions to its Exposure Management offering that deliver increased attack surface visibility and context.
The expanded offering gives organizations continuous visibility into sensitive data stored across their multicloud environments paired with the context they need to prioritize and remediate exposures.
The enhancements seek to address the need for organizations to track who has access to sensitive data to ensure that it’s adequately protected, to verify compliance with privacy regulations and the ability to discover and protect that data from endpoint to cloud.
The new innovations weave sensitive data insights into an artificial intelligence-driven risk scoring and prioritization model to allow security teams to track the data as it relates to assets across locations, ownership, access control and posture statuses.
The updates include enhancements to Rapid7’s Remediation Hub that enable risk-based exposure management by aligning risk severity, asset context, reachability and exploitability together with recommended remediations. The end result gives security teams enhanced asset context at the time of remediation and removes the need for analysts to navigate across the platform to eliminate exposures.
The enhancements to Rapid7’s Exposure Management offering provide organizations with improved visibility and control over sensitive data across multicloud environments. By integrating with security services such as Amazon Web Services Macie, Google Cloud DLP and Microsoft Defender, along with infrastructure-as-code tagging, security teams can automate data classification and protection. The insights then feed into layered context and attack path analysis, which allow organizations to identify and prioritize exposures that put sensitive information at risk.
On the vulnerability management side, Rapid7 has introduced AI-driven vulnerability scoring that enhances risk prioritization. The AI-powered model generates intelligence-driven risk scores to provide timely assessments to help security teams cut through the noise and focus on the most critical exposures with greater accuracy and confidence.
The expanded Surface Command and Remediation Hub streamlines the remediation process by embedding guidance directly within asset inventory and detail pages. Security teams can accelerate mean-time-to-remediate and improve collaboration, with the service eliminating the need to switch between platforms. Additionally, enriched asset context from third-party security and IT operations insights ensure that stakeholders have the information they need to make faster, more informed decisions in mitigating risk.
“Security teams today need more than just visibility — they need it paired with unparalleled context and control for maximum efficiency,” said Chief Product Officer Craig Adams. “By integrating sensitive data insights, AI-driven prioritization, and embedded remediation guidance, we’re ensuring that organizations can proactively reduce risk, expedite response times and gain deeper visibility into their attack surface.”
