Druva and Microsoft team up to enhance cyber resiliency for enterprises

Data security provider Druva Inc. today announced a strategic relationship with Microsoft Corp. to help enterprises protect and secure their data against evolving cyberthreats.

The relationship between the two companies is focused on empowering customers with cloud-native and hybrid data protection integrated with Microsoft Azure cloud services. The relationship will also support enterprises as they expand their critical data in the cloud, with Druva and Microsoft delivering cyber resiliency to ensure business continuity.

The relationship seeks to address the issue wherein, as companies integrate more cloud technologies and applications into their business, they can inadvertently widen their attack surface. Druva’s cloud-native solutions, which protect and secure business data, along with Microsoft, aim to offer businesses enhanced cyber resiliency with cross-cloud protection, unified visibility across data environments, and more comprehensive data security strategies.

“Our vision has always been to make modern enterprises resilient against advanced and persistent threats in a way that makes data security effortless,” said Druva co-founder and Chief Executive Jaspreet Singh. “Our strategic relationship with Microsoft now enables us to extend the benefits of true cloud-based data security to more Azure customers.”

Through the integration with Azure, Druva customers will gain enhanced data protection with greater flexibility and scalability, including the ability to secure cloud and on-premises workloads while leveraging Azure Storage to optimize costs, eliminate hardware dependencies and scale as business needs evolve.

Druva’s platform offers unified data security with a single view across end-user devices, cloud workloads and software-as-a-service applications, enabling swift threat response. Additionally, its global deduplication technology reduces Azure Storage consumption and lowers backup costs by up to 40% through automated storage tiering.

“With the power of Cloud, Druva’s data security capabilities deliver what enterprises require to keep their data safe,” said Sandy Gupta, vice president of Global ISV Ecosystem at Microsoft. “With Druva and Microsoft Azure, customers will be empowered to further grow their business in the cloud.”

The strategic relationship builds on Druva and Microsoft’s previous collaborations to secure enterprise data. Druva provides protection for Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 (including Microsoft 365 Backup Storage), Microsoft EntraID, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and multiple Azure technologies.
