Low-code security automation company Swimlane LLC today announced that it has raised $45 million in new growth funding to fuel product innovation and global channel expansion, including further development of Hero AI, its agentic AI security operation companion integrated into the Swimlane Turbine platform.
Founded in 2015, Swimlane offers AI-powered, low‑code security automation that it says unifies all facets of security operations, including security operations center alert triage, vulnerability response, compliance, information technology and operation technology monitoring, into a single, integrated system of record.
The company’s core offering, called Turbine, provides a visual, low‑code “Canvas” interface that allows analysts and workflows owners to design complex automation playbooks without coding. With Turbine, users can build, deploy and iterate workflows three times faster than traditional security orchestration, automation and response tools by leveraging modular components and flexible triggers.
The platform’s Active Sensing Fabric can ingest millions of alerts per day and connect to any Representational State Transfer application programming interface, cloud, extended detection and response, the internet of things, or edge systems to ensure the offering adapts to the full spectrum of modern telemetry.
In early 2024, Swimlane introduced Hero AI, an on‑premises, agentic AI companion fully integrated into Turbine. Hero offers AI-enabled innovations that enhance the automation solutions available within the Swimlane Turbine platform. It then announced enhancements to Hero AI in August, including new features that allow security teams to take decisive action against complex cases, alerts and intelligence.
Since last raising funding in 2022, Swimlane has grown by more than 110% and expanded its customer base to more than 50 Global 1,000 companies, 26 U.S. federal agencies and five of the world’s top systems integrators.
Energy Impact Partners and Activate Capital led the growth funding round, with Trinity Capital Inc. also participating.
“Swimlane stands out by delivering what the market desperately needs: scalable, intelligent automation that goes beyond the hype and actually works,” said Sameer Reddy, managing partner at Energy Impact Partners. “The company’s unique approach to agentic AI and hyperautomation addresses a massive gap in modern security operations and is defining the future of how organizations will protect themselves.”
Including the new funding, Swimlane has raised $204 million to date, based on data from Tracxn.
