Kyndryl’s new Agentic AI Framework aims to help enterprises knuckle down on AI agents

Information technology consultancy Kyndryl Holdings Inc. says it’s stepping up to help enterprises make the most out of their newfangled artificial intelligence agents with the launch of a new Agentic AI Framework.

The company said it’s a brand-new approach that can help enterprises to deploy AI agents to assist human workers at large scale by automating various kinds of business operations and tasks. The framework makes it simple to dispatch and orchestrate vast teams of specialized, autonomous and self-learning AI agents that can respond dynamically to real-world conditions, while keeping their human supervisors up to date with whatever it is they’re doing.

Kyndryl said its Agentic AI Framework has been designed to help enterprises get around the overwhelming complexities that come with deploying AI agents, which must be integrated with dozens if not hundreds of different systems and applications to make themselves useful. It cites the findings of its recently published 2025 People Readiness Report. It found that only 40% of business leaders say they have successfully deployed AI to provide insights that can enhance decision-making or automate work to improve productivity and drive business growth.

The framework provides companies with a standardized way to deploy agentic AI systems in the cloud, on-premises or in hybrid environments and start using them to real effect. To do this, Kyndryl says, it’s leveraging its expertise, which is derived from helping customers with “thousands” of AI infrastructure deployments in recent years. In other words, it has learned on the job the best way to go about integrating and deploying AI agents in its customer’s systems, and it’s now applying those lessons to everyone else who wants to make use of the most advanced AI of all.

Kyndryl said it can help companies to get up and running with secure-by-design AI agents that will immediately start translating complex business data into clear and understandable insights, and then use that information to automate various kinds of work.

Some customers have already used the new framework to good effect, including an unnamed national government that’s looking to use AI agents to improve its public services. According to Kyndryl, it helped that government to deploy agents that provide up-to-date metrics and insights, and make autonomous decisions regarding everything from traffic conditions to hospital bed availability and school attendance.

Another deployment involved a “leading financial institution,” which used Kyndryl’s Agentic AI Framework to unleash AI agents that can automate compliance, optimize its information technology processes and accelerate service delivery. As a result, it has helped that financial services provider to become more agile and responsive to its customer’s needs, Kyndryl said.

Kyndryl Consult Senior Vice President Ismail Amla said his company provides a holistic, infrastructure-first perspective that enables AI agents to be deployed and scaled across mission-critical systems with enterprise-grade security. He explained that the framework adheres to various industry security standards, abides by privacy-by-design principles, and is based on a zero-trust security model. This, he explained, fosters trust and ensures that AI agent’s actions are both traceable and interpretable.

“With our unique insights from Kyndryl Bridge, our differentiated Agentic AI framework, and our experience managing some of the world’s largest technology estates, we can help companies design, implement and run agentic AI solutions at scale,” Amla promised.
