TAG Heuer teases with launch date, images

TAG Heuer Connected

TAG Heuer S.A. has released teaser images of its upcoming smartwatch called the TAG Heuer Connected. The teaser revealed that the smartwatch will be introduced to the world on November 19, 2015 and rumors suggest a steep retail price of $1,800.

Smart camera knows best shots to share

If you’re an automotive enthusiast who wants a play-by-play of your driving skills, then you might be interested in funding the Waylens camera. The device is essentially an action camera, but it’s for your vehicle. It uses a vehicle plugin device to capture vehicle data as well as images of the road or inside the vehicle and it can recommend the best videos based on highest G force or fastest accelerations.

FBI tips for IoT safety

October has been dubbed the National Cyber Security Awareness Month and because more and more devices now can connect to the Internet, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has extended its security tips to the Internet of Things. Some of the tips include changing the default password that comes with the connected device and disabling Universal Plug and Play protocol (UPnP) on your router to prevent unauthorized access.

Send text messages from wearables

AT&T, Inc. revealed that it will soon launch a service called NumberSync, which would allow any connected device send a text message using the same number. AT&T revealed that the launch of NumberSync will be accompanied by the launch of new devices as well. Soon after the announcement, T-Mobile USA announced that it too is cooking up a similar service, only better.

A new transportation device has launched on Kickstarter PBC called Smart Ped. The device is a kick-assist e-bike with smart functionalities such as recommending easier routes, but what makes it different from other similar offerings is the technology that allows one kick of the rider to travel further.
