Whatfix raises $125M to expand global reach and enhance its digital adoption platform

Digital adoption platform and analytics provider Whatfix Pvt. Ltd. announced today that it has raised $125 million in a new late-stage funding to enhance its product suite through organic growth and strategic acquisitions and to expand its market presence globally.

Founded in 2014, Whatfix offers a digital adoption platform that helps organizations improve software adoption and user productivity. Powered by generative artificial intelligence, Whatfix’s product suite includes a digital adoption platform, simulated application environments for hands-on training, and no-code application analytics.

Based on a concept it somewhat awkwardly calls “Userization,” Whatfix’s platform shifts responsibility to technology to ensure that it adapts to users and not the other way around. Through the use of generative AI in its product suite, combined with digital adoption, product analytics and application simulation, Whatfix accelerates a user-first approach with an “experience layer” across the enterprise software stack. Doing so allows enterprises to maximize their return on investment across their stack while allowing employees to build greater efficiency.

Whatfix services include no-code authoring that allows for the creation of interactive guides without coding and multiformat content generation that automatically produces videos, PDFs and slideshows. Additionally, content segmentation allows for targeted content delivery to specific user groups for a more personalized experience.

On the analytics and integration front, Whatfix offers AI-driven product analytics to optimize software usage and user engagement, along with user behavior tracking to monitor application interactions. The company’s services offer cross-platform support for web, desktop and mobile, enterprise integrations and a self-hosting option to ensure seamless deployment and adaptability across systems.

Whatfix has seen strong growth since last raising venture capital in 2021, with a 4.5 times increase in annual recurring revenue, though it didn’t provide absolute numbers. The company supports over 80 Fortune 500 companies and counts among its customers Arrow Electronics Inc., Schneider Electric SE and Avnet Inc., along with partners including Microsoft Corp., Salesforce Inc., Infosys Ltd. and Accenture plc that use Whatfix to accelerate ROI on their technology investments.

Warburg Pincus led the Series E round, with existing investor SoftBank Vision Fund 2 LP also participating.

“Enterprises are grappling with the complexities of digital transformation and the ever-increasing pressure to deliver exceptional user experiences,” said co-founder and Chief Executive Khadim Batti. “This investment will add more fuel to the tank, accelerating a new era of innovation for our industry, bolstering the unparalleled value we bring to our customers and reshaping the future of software adoption.”
