4. Helly Hansen H2FLOW Thrym ski jacket
Product Name: Helly Hansen H2FLOW Thrym ski jacket
Manufacturer: Helly Hansen
Product Description: Helly Hansen says that their patent-pending H2FLOW technology allows for a groundbreaking design that combines an insulation layer, an airflow venting system, and a protective waterproof breathable barrier. The combination allows skiers to regulate their body temperature in a wide variety of slope conditions and climates. The jacket is also “anatomically body mapped” to optimize the H2FLOW technology, meaning that it’s thinner than bulky ski jackets but still keeps you warm on the slopes.
Helly Hansen claims the jacket is 20 percent more efficient at regulating body temperature than standard ski jackets. Its eight goose down-insulated pods provide “strategic warmth” and are now angled upward to “funnel warm air up the spinal cavity and out the jacket’s back collar.” But we think one of the coolest features of the ski jacket is that it is has a built-in RECCO Rescue System, which helps rescuers find you if you end up getting caught in an avalanche.
