Stravito integrates market research into enterprise AI tools with MCP server
Knowledge management startup Stravito AB today introduced a Model Context Protocol server that lets people access the company’s consumer and market research from AI tools such as OpenAI Group PBC’s ChatGPT, Anthropic PBC’s Claude and Microsoft Corp.’s Copilot.
The Stockholm-based company said the server gives those tools access to research already stored in Stravito, including reports, presentations, spreadsheets, audio and video. It targets marketing and research teams that want to use proprietary data to plan campaigns, test ideas and make other commercial decisions.
MCP is an open standard for connecting AI applications to external data and tools. Stravito’s server provides a single connection to research that customers previously accessed mainly through its website or application programming interfaces.
“The breakthrough is that we can now sit alongside your [customer relationship management], [business intelligence] and social listening data in the same AI conversation,” said Thor Olof Philogène, Stravito’s founder and chief executive.
For example, an employee could ask an AI assistant a question that draws on consumer studies alongside information from a CRM database and business intelligence dashboard. Stravito said its server can interpret findings embedded in charts and graphs, as well as text.
Philogène said the underlying technology for reading visuals isn’t unique, but the company has adapted it to the types of research its customers manage.
Stravito emphasizes traceability, bringing that information into other tools. Responses include citations linking to the underlying research, sometimes as precisely as a spreadsheet cell, Philogène said. The read-only connection also applies the access permissions a customer has already set in Stravito, limiting what each employee can retrieve.
“We want you to have defensible answers,” he said. The citations and permission controls are embedded in the MCP server rather than supplied by the protocol itself.
Stravito’s existing APIs remain available for integrations in which speed or a narrower connection matters, Philogène said. MCP offers a simpler way to expose a wider range of Stravito’s existing data connections and AI capabilities to enterprise tools.
Customers will still mostly manage and analyze research on the company’s platform. The new server makes that research accessible in the AI applications their employees already use.
